Principal's Message

Dear Garfield Community, 

I hope you’ve all had an amazing and restful summer break. I’m very excited to be joining the wonderful Garfield community as your Principal this 2024/25 school year. The Garfield staff and I would like to extend a warm welcome back to each and everyone one of you. 

As we approach the beginning of the school year, I want to communicate that my dedication is to ensure that our students receive a rigorous education through equitable collaboration as a community. Our students will have a space to foster those important human connections that help them grow socially and emotionally, all while simultaneously being academically challenged to meet their individual potential. 

One of my philosophies has always been that school gives you knowledge but life gives you wisdom. Know that your feedback is always welcomed and it is my hope that our students achieve both knowledge and wisdom from Garfield as we all work together as a village. My door is always open to you all and I’m very excited to get to know you parents and families as we collaborate and make this 2024/25 school year a great one.
